The TMT Flowbase Release Tool is an ROV operated tool that has been designed to unlock the GTS Stabcon Flowbase from the Subsea Wellhead Housing Assembly.

The operation is typically completed from a drilling rig using a tool that has been deployed on the drill string; however, this tool allows the same operation to be completed using an ROV and recovery winch/crane. The tool is lowered onto the flowbase and locked, using an ROV torque tool.
The ROV then supplies hydraulic pressure to extend the tool and unlock the flowbase, allowing it to be recovered to the surface.
