New Diamond Wire Saw (DWS) Tested at TMT Malaysia

TMT has been entrusted to execute the offshore pipe cutting scope for the upcoming Pegaga offshore installation campaign. We recently tested our 52” DWS in preparation, resulting in a successful trial cut in under 4 hours.

The DWS will be deployed offshore, powered and controlled by an ROV using an integrated ROV interface panel, via hot stabs from the ROV hydraulic system. If needed, it can also be powered and control from surface via an umbilical.

The trial cut was witnessed by clients representatives from Mubadala Petroleum and Sapura Offshore.

The TMT Diamond Wire Cutter range has been specifically designed for subsea pipe cutting operations of varying materials and thicknesses, however it can also be used for non-subsea applications.
