Type A Shaft Puller

The Type A Puller Tool (TAPT) is designed to be used with the TMT Shaft Retrieval Tool (TMT-NSS-284) (TAPT and SRT pictured) if a shaft is stuck inside a Type A receptacle with only a minimal engagement length available.

Features

Light weight
Compact
ROV operated
Subsea or shore use
Hydraulically operated
ROV operated & deployable

Generally, circular shafts are hard to grip; the SRT tool provides the ability to grip a circular shaft without causing significant damage to the shaft.

The SRT is designed to grip circular shafts ranging from ∅6 mm to ∅40 mm, depending on the size of the collet fitted. The Type A Puller Tool provides reach and stability for pulling shafts within Type A receptacles. It uses a pair of hydraulic cylinders to provide push and pull forces.

Depending on the collet used in the SRT and factors that influence friction, the TAPT can apply 5000 kg pull force and 3300 kg push force on shafts grabbed by the SRT. TMT can customise the tool to suit client requirements.
