Powered by TMT’s patented control algorithm, the tool delivers full Class 4 torque capability while drawing only 400 watts on a 110 VAC power circuit. In automatic mode, torque limits, rotational turns, and speed parameters are configured using a custom TMT software application, enabling the tool to execute torque operations autonomously and safely.

The electric servo motor drive offers precise control of torque and speed, outperforming hydraulic systems. It delivers full-rated torque with near-linear response across the entire speed range—from zero to maximum RPM. High-resolution angular feedback is provided by the servo motor’s integrated resolver. Combined with dual strain-gauge torque sensing on the gearbox output, this system delivers superior monitoring accuracy compared to other tools on the market.

The tool’s innovative end effector design automatically adapts to operate Class 1 through 4 interfaces without the need for reconfiguration or ROV recovery. Its compact size allows for packaging in two helicopter-compliant carry-on cases, ensuring rapid deployment to site. When used with the TMT Surface Torque Verification Tool (featuring RS232 feedback), the TMT Electric Torque Tool is fully self-calibrating, further enhancing reliability and ease of use.
