The SST / FSB 183/4” Override Tool is designed to open 18¾” subsea trees at the connection between subsea tree and flow base, and the connection between flow base and wellhead. The tool is lightweight, with structural elements made from high tensile aluminium alloy. Two tools are to be used at the same time. Each tool has two three-stage telescoping cylinders and is capable of lift up to 125 T. An interface plate is provided to allow the tool to be used on both SubSea Tree (SST) and Flow Support Base (FSB) override rods.
