An off-the-shelf shackle is modified to incorporate a guide to allow reliable pin engagement and disengagement via ROV manipulator. J slots ensure secure positioning of the pin during deployment.
A gravity operated keeper pin locks the shackle pin once it is slid across, preventing accidental release.
