Lock Out Tool (LOT)

The Lock Out Tool (LOT) is a mechanical locking device that is used to prevent subsea valves from closing after they’ve been opened and provides a mechanical means of locking the valve in a stroked position for a prolonged period of time.

The Lock Out Tool is driven by the Linear Actuated Override Tool (NSS-165). It is used to mechanically lock a subsea linear valve and can be left subsea for prolonged periods. The Lock Out Tool can be fitted with Type A or Type B ISO-compliant interface collars. TMT can set the stroke length of the Lock Out Tool as required up to 200mm (7.875″).
