The anchor is equipped with two locking dogs that transfer the load onto the retaining shoulder of the guidepost. The tool is designed according to DNV 2.22 Lifting Appliances, with a safety factor of 1.5.
The GWA can be terminated to a 500 mm wire rope stinger onshore and load tested and uised as a lifting anchor or connected to the Rig guide wire system. It can be fitted with a variety of shear pin options or fitted with a solid load pin for testing and use as a lifting anchor.
