The shroud is installed over the EFL connection and a low density cleaning fluid (e.g. Calciwash or Magwash) is injected into the shroud via a separately supplied injection wand. The low density acid wash displaces the seawater and is left to dissolve the build up of calcarious marine growth.

Use in conjunction with TMT backpack acid injection system (see TMT-NSS-183).

After soaking, the connector can be further cleaned using, for example, the TMT 420 bar Water Blaster (TMT-NSS-083) or the TMT Rotary Brushing Tools (TMT-NSS-001).
