The Deck Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) is a power generation system designed to convert electrical input into a useable hydraulic power for local supply to the ROV and TMS hydraulically operated tools and machinery while on the surface.

An oil cooler is included in the HPU, which regulates oil temperature returning to the tank.
The Deck HPU design is capable of supplying enough pressure and flow for the following functions:
• ROV pre- and post-dive functional checks, including thruster testing
• ROV maintenance checks and hydraulic flushing operations
• Reduced pressure and flow operations such as topping up of compensators
• Tooling testing operations.
