Class 7 Hydraulic Torque Tool

The Class 7 Torque Tool provides up to 30 kNm of torque to operate Class 7 (3.5 inch) interfaces. It is compatible with API 17D (1st edition) torque buckets and incorporates a compensated gearbox to provide torque multiplication to a rated depth of 2,500 m.

Features

Easy to install & remove
Quick disconnect couplings
Compensation system

The hydraulically operated tool provides torque control by varying the input pressure. TMT recommends powering the tool via an ROV dirty oil pack to protect the ROV hydraulics.

The tool output is calibrated using a TMT class 7 surface torque verification unit (TMT-NSS-636).

The tool is generally deployed via a winch, then engaged and operated via work-class ROV. .
