The Acid Injection Backpack is attached to the ROV to enable large volume acid injection on location. The injected media are sulphamic wash and calciwash.

An aluminium frame houses a 210L flexible bladder and pump that enables fluid supply to the required location. With varying flow rates, acid is injected at pressures of up to 150 psi (10.3 bar) using either a hotstab or wand.
The standard ROV aft camera can monitor the output flow and pressure.
