The 155 mm Wire Rope Cutter is designed to cut umbilical cables and hoses up to 155 mm diameter. It may also be used on alternative materials, such as electrical power or communication cables.

The Wire Rope Cutter is lowered from the surface by crane, then positioned and operated using an ROV with hydraulic power supplied via a fourport hot stab.
The cutter includes a purpose-built protection frame, and manipulator handles for positioning the cutter. The cutter can be rotated within the frame for cutting in horizontal or vertical orientations.
An integrated interlock ensures the blade cannot activate until the anvil is fully deployed.
