Typhoon MK4 ROV’s include a range of intelligent and unique features including;
• An intelligent integrated vehicle health system for cost effective management of vehicle maintenance requirements.
• Advanced Navigational Features, including Auto-Heading, Auto Depth and Station Keeping
ROV HPU;
• Primary and Auxiliary flow lines with variable piston pumps
• Failsafe HPU accumulator that allows the ROV to finalise tooling functions and stow arms in the event of hydraulic power loss.
Manipulators;
• Two manipulators on extendable TMT Z Extensions are provided.
• The Z Extension provides 300mm of controlled movement in the Z axis (fwd-aft) for manipulators. A third central Z Extension is available for tooling.
• Lawsons Umbilical Winch and LARS
• 20′ Control Van with integrated power converters and management. Optional 20′ Workshop
• Advanced Monitoring and Diagnostics; A fully integrated suite of on-board sensors and data tools notify and alert operators of system components that may require attention, prior to unexpected failures potentially interrupting critical-path operations. Sensors monitor the condition of the pump and filters across the HPU package in real-time and information is relayed live to the control interface for continuous analysis and presented to the operator on demand. This allows operators to schedule additional maintenance when convenient and eliminates costly preventative replacement of healthy on-board hardware.
• TMT patented SRPS system allows ROV station keep from 1 to 30 m above the seabed without using thrusters. This system is highly effective in observation/surveillance operations without stirring up seabed sediments or disturbing marine life in the research tasks.
• High quality visual capability; Awareness and clarity during subsea projects is paramount and the Typhoon MK4 video suite is better than ever. Up to four channels of High Definition 1080p video are available, as well as six channels of Standard Definition video.
