The RORV is a submarine rescue capsule that is controlled from the surface, while the IROV is intended for intervention work such as cleaning and manipulation.

The RORV/Mk4-IROV Simulator is a complete simulation package for mission training purposes. It is designed as an IMCA Class A Simulator. Fast compiled native exe and free from proprietary restrictions and licensing, the simulator is scalable, adaptable and optimised for use with the RORV/Mk4-IROV Control Console.

Model accuracy, physics and dynamics programmed into the system are optimised for a real-life look and feel. Concurrent physics engines leverage multi-core CPU architecture for single PC operation.

Selectable scenarios are installed and can be activated via a one-click start-up. The simulator mimics conditions including drag caused by currents and cable/tethers.

The standard simulator comes with basic subsea scenarios only. Custom-made scenarios can be developed as required so that mission-critical tasks like ELSS transfers, debris clearing, transponder deployments, flying search patterns or Skirt alignments can be specifically trained for before deployment.

With a custom-made GUI, the trainer/supervisor can adjust subsea conditions like current, particles, light conditions and impacts, in addition to ROV parameters like response, buoyancy, mass and acceleration.

Malfunctions and alarm messages can be simulated for training purposes.

The Simulator, with its high-level realism, simulates practical exposure to the equipment with valuable, hands-on experience in a safe, controlled environment.

After training sessions on the simulator, the pilots are not only familiar with the most common scenarios but also with the controls, alarm notifications and behaviour of the actual vehicles without much additional learning.
